Maggie Jean Studio

Maggie Jean Ross-Barnhizer has always been obsessed with everything homegrown and homemade.  As a child she was always making gifts. Cutting, gluing, taking apart and rearranging until it is looked just right; Maggie was always creating. Jumping from one project to the next throughout the house, her parents set up her first studio by the big window in their family room out of pure necessity.  But it wasn’t until a time of grief and heartache that she fell in love with painting and writing.  Finding Home, her first book, explores her time of healing and her love for her family and community. 

Maggie now lives with her husband and daughter on a farm in east central Indiana where she continues to paint for others and grows a little bit of everything.
